EBARA TO ACQUIRE BRAZILIAN PUMP SOLUTION PROVIDER GERMEK TO STRENGTHEN SOUTH AMERICAN SOLUTIONS

EBARA Corporation (EBARA) has signed an equity transfer agreement to acquire 100% of the equity interest of GEMINI GERMEK HIDROMECÂNICA LTDA. (Germek). Based in the State of São Paulo, Germek is a leading specialist in the design, manufacturing, sales, and service of advanced pump units for the fire-fighting and agricultural sectors, primarily serving the Brazilian market.
The agreement was concluded on March 02, 2026, and it was executed through EBARA's subsidiary EBARA Bombas América do Sul Ltda. (EBAS). This acquisition represents EBARA's 12th new base established outside Japan in the last six years, furthering the company's "E-Vision 2035" long-term strategy.
Under the "E-Plan 2028" management strategy, EBARA is actively investing in M&A to capture growth markets in the Building Service & Industrial Segment. The company has been steadily expanding its footprint in South America, recently establishing a base in Uruguay to complement existing operations in Brazil and Colombia. The integration of Germek allows EBARA to transition from providing stand-alone pumps to offering comprehensive, customized pump unit solutions tailored to diverse customer needs.
"The acquisition of Germek is a vital step in strengthening our regional presence," said Ryusuke Kobayashi, CEO of EBAS. "Combining Germek’s engineering capabilities with EBAS’ operational excellence will allow us to deliver tailored solutions globally". Founders Marcos Orlando Germek and Ruy Fernando Germek noted: "After 43 years of relentless work, we believe that with EBARA, our company will reach new heights and have a bright future".
